These areas refer to the five key domains of intervention that CrAFt's New European Bauhaus Impact Model considers essential for guiding and evaluating complex urban initiatives.
The participation level refers to the degree or extent to which individuals or groups are actively involved or engaged in a particular activity, project, or process. It assesses the depth of their involvement, contributions, and commitment, ranging from minimal or passive participation to active and dedicated participation.
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) aims to promote the values of sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion in the design and transformation of urban spaces. It emphasises the integration of environmental, social, and economic considerations to create harmonious and innovative living environments.
According to the Smart City Guidance Package, there are seven stages to plan and implement smart city projects. These stages propose a logical and coherent roadmap for city initiatives involving many stakeholders.
The CrAFt Waterfront Cities Session is organised in cooperation with the EU Mission on Restore our Oceans and Waters (Mission Ocean & Waters) by 2030 and the EU Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities (Cities Mission) on Thursday, 1 February Monday, 19 February 2024 (please, note that this event has been postponed).
The session will highlight how the Ocean and Waters Mission urban dimension intersects with the blue infrastructure component of the Cities Mission. This will be explored through three projects in the EU Mission portfolio that operate in the overlapping Cities-Oceans/Waters space.
The session will provide a sneak peek at upcoming services to be provided to the Charter of the Mission Ocean & Waters. It will also showcase how waterfront cities involved in projects funded under the Cities Mission and horizontally under the EU Missions use blue infrastructure as a key component of urban spatial planning and to support the transition to climate neutrality and greater climate resilience.
These projects include Re-Value: Re-Valuing Urban Quality & Climate Neutrality in European Waterfront Cities, the CrAFt cluster of cities with rich blue infrastructure, and the NEB Lighthouse BoSS (Bauhaus of the Sea Sails).
This event is free of charge. The registration is closed.
