These areas refer to the five key domains of intervention that CrAFt's New European Bauhaus Impact Model considers essential for guiding and evaluating complex urban initiatives.
The participation level refers to the degree or extent to which individuals or groups are actively involved or engaged in a particular activity, project, or process. It assesses the depth of their involvement, contributions, and commitment, ranging from minimal or passive participation to active and dedicated participation.
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) aims to promote the values of sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion in the design and transformation of urban spaces. It emphasises the integration of environmental, social, and economic considerations to create harmonious and innovative living environments.
According to the Smart City Guidance Package, there are seven stages to plan and implement smart city projects. These stages propose a logical and coherent roadmap for city initiatives involving many stakeholders.
NetZeroCities, which manages the EU Cities Mission’s Platform, has opened its third Call for Twin Cities to join the Cities Mission Twinning Learning Programme. If your city is ready to embark on a transformative journey toward climate neutrality, we encourage you to apply by 31 October 2024.
This initiative, part of the EU Cities Mission, supports cities outside the Mission in achieving climate neutrality through a customised learning programme. Selected Twin Cities will be paired with selected Pilot Cities from previous cohorts. These partnerships are based on shared challenges, opportunities, and emissions profiles.
The programme features three key modules: 1) Getting Started, 2) Co-creating, and 3) Capitalising. Together, they aim to develop a tailored Action Plan for each Twin City, leveraging innovative practices from the Pilot Cities.
Through collaborative meetings, workshops, and site visits, Twin and Pilot Cities will work together to overcome barriers and progress toward climate neutrality. Additionally, Twin Cities will receive expert guidance from NetZeroCities partners and gain access to valuable resources via the NetZeroCities Portal.
For more information about the programme and stories from previous Twin Cities, please visit the Twinning Learning Programme page.
We hope this opportunity aligns with your goals and supports your city’s path to a sustainable future.
